I am reading the last year awarded VAST paper, and I just found out that the BANKSAFE paper use Google BigQuery to analyze data.

In general, BigQuery is a could database. But I think the potential of BigQuery is to integrate with other Google services through Google API.

BTW: the section 3 of the BANKSAFE paper is very interesting. I recommend everybody to read it.
