Round of yahs #80

Hi,

I am wondering whether would be advisable to do more than one round of yahs analysis. Meaning:

Round one: mapping hic reads to draft.fa --> hic.bam + yahs --> manual curation with Juicebox --> new assembly1.fa Round two: mapping hic reads to assembly1.fa --> hic2.bam + yahs --> manual curation with Juicebox --> assembly2.fa

and so on.

Hi Diego,

This sounds interesting. But we have never tried it. This will potentially solve some assembly errors which could be spotted from HiC maps during manual curation but neglected by YaHS error correction.
