Meterpreter use with Java exploit

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. obtain meterpreter through java exploit
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

able to view processes to migrate over to. The connection dies, and get error ' 
loading stdapi. try command again'   the connection dies 

What version of Metasploit are you using (type: svn info)? On which
operating system?

shows '.' Kali Linux all up to date

Which database are you using?

non pro

Please provide any additional information below.

See screenshots for error it produces in terminal. This is a fresh 
install/update of Kali.

the sessions keep opening and closing, saying they have died.  i have tried 
this remotely and on my own network and get the same results.
