highlight the entry and hit "delete".
agree it could be better tho.

I have attached a modified viewer.glade that splits include/exclude into
separate
tabs to make room for delete buttons.
If you are happy with it then I can implement the functionality behind the
buttons.

how about a context menu for the item with a "delete" entry? i don't think the
delete button makes a lot of sense right next to the add. (meaning it's not
obvious
if i am deleting the dir selected in the list, or the dir selected by the file
chooser)

Hmmm... you are right about it being not obvious, but a context menu won't be
much
easier to spot than the delete key. Can I put small delete buttons next to each
item, I wonder?

sure.... i'm thinking an apple-esque "right-aligned, but only show up on
row-mouse-over"?

>but only show up on row-mouse-over
Now you're challenging me :-)
My PyGtk skills aren't currently up to that but its a good opportunity to learn.
In the meantime a tooltip ("Delete key removes items") will probably do.

beyond mine too. =P
i'll do it eventually if you don't wish to, but i'm triaging changes right now
and i
just want to be honest about how likely i am to figure this one out Real Soon
Now(tm).
