Engine quitting at idle #1303

Closed D-ECHO closed 5 years ago

D-ECHO commented 5 years ago

I'm not entirely sure about this one as I have never flown a 172 IRL, but I think the engine should not just quit when reducing the throttle to idle?

dany93 commented 5 years ago

I don't understand.... It does not, the engine does not stop when reducing the throttle to idle???

Did you check the mixture?

D-ECHO commented 5 years ago

mixture full, not in a 0g state or similar...

gilbertohasnofb commented 5 years ago

@D-ECHO could you try to explain better to us how to reproduce this? What was the weather? Also did you check if you have fuel contamination on?

D-ECHO commented 5 years ago

Okay sorry, this was my mistake.... Turns out my carburetor was partially iced without me noticing it. So, all roll back: Works great, thanks for your great work and the fast response!

gilbertohasnofb commented 5 years ago

Great! Happy to hear it was just that

Carb ice rears its ugly head. What too much realism?
