When merging deltas into other backup dirs, slave info file is not copied/replaced #35

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
When collapsing deltas/incrementals into another backup dir, the
xtrabackup_slave_info file is not replaced.

Once deltas are applied, we should make sure the slave info in the dir is
correct.

Unclear whether this should be an XtraBackup Manager function or innobackupex.

Perhaps we can have XtraBackup Manager handle it as a fallback in case
innobackupex doesn't. This would be the most compatible.

Working on this as a fix to innobackupex script in xtrabackup and also ensuring
that innobackupex script is used by XBM for snapshot merging.

Have fixed the bug above in innobackupex and am waiting on merge approval in
percona-xtrabackup project. Hoping this will make it into 1.6.4
