Report needs to track process id, node, maybe other things

What exactly does the Report need to track so we can identify where something went wrong? I can think of a few things:

The ID of the node it was running on. How would we get that in python?
The ID of the app running on that node. How would we get that, and is it even persistent in any way?
The ID of the process running it (maybe using id(multiprocessing.current_process())

Thoughts and ideas are welcome.
