Bug that needs to be investigated, as I haven't the foggiest what is causing it. Effectively, we're getting to the compile phase and all feedback from the machine node is stopping, while the rest of the director/dashboard remains responsive.

Hopefully fixed (there was a nasty aliasing/concurrency bug, how ironic!), we'll see.
