It is impossible to add ranks to attribute advancement features #1086
Attribute advancement features can not be added at rank above 1, nor can their rank be increased after having been added. When inspecting the feature blueprint Rank entry is read-only, as all other entries, and neither the buttons for adding/removing ranks nor the rank display itself show up for freshly added attribute advancement features. Additionally, if an already present rank 2 attribute advancement feature is reduced to rank 1, undoing that action is impossible.
Since characteristic distribution on character creation is done via Chargen_AgilityAttributeAdvancement (replace agility with appropriate characteristic) ranks, this means respeccing from 0 is not actually fully functional as companions are stuck with their pre-determined base stat spread. Hard editing stats is possible to get around that, but 1) leads to a messy UI in characteristics screen and 2) could potentially lead to bugs down the line.
Attribute advancement features are the only ones that seem to have this problem, or at least the only ones I found this problem with. As shown on the attached screenshot, (at least some) other features that have ranks can go down to 1, and show rank 1 with possibility of adding more ranks at that rank 1.
Steps To Reproduce
Go to Search'n'Pick
Search for "AttributeAdvancement"
Add any attribute advancement feature to a chosen character
Go to Party
Pick the same character
Expand Features drop-down
Filter for AttributeAdvancement
See the freshly added attribute advancement feature is stuck at rank 1 and can not be changed to rank 2
Expected Behavior
Rank 1 attribute advancement features can be increased to rank 2.
