cabarius / ToyBox

Toy Box is a cute and playful mod with 500+ cheats, tweaks and quality of life improvements for Pathfinder: WoTR. It was created in the spirit of Bag of Tricks & Cheat Menu but with a little different focus . It of a powerful and convenient way to edit the party composition, stats, search and add Feats, Features, Items, etc. to party members.

Snap Cursor to Center of Screen #1093

Is your feature request related to a problem?

I play Wrath of the Righteous mostly on Steam Deck and I've setup customized controls that map to k/m to use UMM for Toy Box and Bubble Buffs.

Basic Movement Control Scheme: L-thumbstick = WASD R-thumbstick = mouse scroll up, Q, mouse scroll down, E R-Trackpad = Mouse R-Trigger = Left Mouse click

With the cursor centered, this allows me to scroll around the screen with thumbsticks and blindly click the R-trigger button to move the party. For more granular control (select items, individual party members, fine tune party placement, navigate menu screens, etc...) I switch to trackpad. This control scheme works great except for one problem.

The problem is once I use the trackpad to move the cursor, the cursor stays in the last position, and I have to remember to manually recenter it in the screen. Since the cursor disappears after a few seconds, it's easy to forget where it is.

Describe the solution you'd like

I'm requesting a setting that snaps the cursor back to the center of the screen when the cursor disappears.

If possible, a small, centered crosshair overlay that appears on screen when the cursor has snapped would be a great addition both as notification the snap occurred and general spatial awareness.

Describe alternatives you've considered

The only alternative would be for SteamOS to offer that ability for Steam Deck, but it doesn't. I don't see how SteamOS devs could implement it without constant user intervention to manually calibrate between the OS and the game.

Additional context

If any of the devs have Steam Deck and want to download the layout to get a feel for what I'm trying to accomplish, the layout is "Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Steam Deck k/m RTwP v2"
