When using themes, unchecking the Taxonomy checkbox doesn't hide the category/taxonomy #262

Describe the bug

When using any of the new widget themes, if you untick the Taxonomy checkbox to remove the category/taxonomy link from each popular posts the widget will continue displaying it.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Widgets > [Sidebar Name] > WordPress Popular Posts.
  2. Select any theme (eg. Cardview).
  3. Scroll up and untick the Display Taxonomy checkbox under Stats Tag settings.
  4. Save changes.
  5. Check the widget on the sidebar, the taxonomy will be displayed.

Expected behavior

Unchecking the Display Taxonomy checkbox should hide/remove the Taxonomy link from the popular posts list.
