Describe the bug
Falskaar quest "Old Friends": When you rescue Junulv, you can get stuck on the objective "Meet with Oudin and Junulv" and not be able to complete the quest if you don't closely escort him back to Amber Creek and encounter the bandit ambush.
Workaround:
Reload a save from prior to leaving the castle with Junulv.
Escort Junulv at least to the ambush site.
I'm not sure how to fix this if you don't have a previous save to go back to.
What you were doing when the bug happened
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Travel to town without him (i.e. take shortest path).
Upon arriving in town before him, use the wait feature until he shows up.
Observation: After following the steps above, I couldn't talk to Oudin or Junulv about the quest even though they both had quest markers. They were just following their normal daily routines and I still couldn't advance the quest.
Is the bug repeatable
Yes, just fast travel to town after rescuing him and wait. This sequence will cause the quest to break.
Expected behavior
Junulv should go to the ambush site and stay there until you go there to help him, instead of him continuing to town, leaving that objective unfinished, and leaving the quest in a state it can no longer be completed.
