I think this might refer to a bug we had earlier in the project in which the wrong UUIDs might be used on pipe endpoints -- which was corrected in 9dca9d01dcc4f6ef657854053cf04ab13555fc7c on the same date this bug report was opened? Or possibly this is a TODO to validate that after the bug fix, no other issues along these lines persist?
