Purpose of code changes on this branch: Lighting is broken and needs fixing. The changes are somewhat complicated and will not get done outside of a codefreeze with people changing stuff willynilly

When reviewing my code changes, please focus on: Not disrupting my work. Literally, if I have to spend 3 hours merging because of a non-priority commit, I will be upset.

After the review, I'll merge this branch into: /trunk
