Tacx Flow requests #1460

Well... I didn't expect it to become a request in the first place. If I know how it works that is already a big help for me.

For the first topic: If it is not a big effort it would be great if gears would have an effect immediately. Then someone could simply evaluate the correct gear very quick on a long straight and leave it at that. So it's just a little more time consuming because you always have to be up to the next slope and then back on a flat piece for a reference. Having no immediate change is not intuitive and it even looks like the feature does not work at all.

So yeah. It is not realy a request for me personally but nice to have. I can go long ways for workarounds.

For the granularity: It is good to know on how it works. I just have to test it a little bit more, which i can do later or tomorrow. I guess, so far i increased and decreased it most of the time without seeing changes because i did not know that i have to wait for a sloope.

For the request: Yes. I think more granularity would be nice. It would allow to manually setup an even more realistic feeling. If you allow me a draft: Maybe it is possible to have a multiplicative setting with minimum 0.1 and maximum 1 and default 1. So that the setting defines the percentage of increased slope from 0.1 to 1 per gear? That way, it does not break all the useres gear settings and would allow increasing and decreasing in different steps between 0.1% and 1% per gear.

However: This is not, by any means, a necessary or game changing request for me. For now, i am a happy customer and user whose problem seems to be solved.

sorry, i became sick shortly after we talked about the app and afterwards I went on vacation.

I am back on the bike now and if you want to send me the android version of that fix is can test it, if you want.

Ok. I will try and give feedback in some time. At the moment i have general connection issues....

What do i need to test? Changing gear and it should immediately show an effect?

which connection issues? yes now gears takes effect immediately and also now the gears are floating number instead of integer, and so , with the new gears gain, you can now set how many "gears" increase or decrease when you press the plus or minus button on the gear tile

Well. Sometimes my zwift cannot find the Wahoo as controllable, only as power source. Yesterday i solved it with switching from smartphone to tablet. Today i have the same issue on the tablet.

After i solved that i can try the new beta which i just downloaded.

Edit: It's not even get any connection anymore. It says it found a TV? And a heart sensor... I have no idea why. I did everything the way i did it before.

I would like to do that. But it just does not show anymore in zwift. The app tells me it has found Tacx Flow 27262. But Zwift only shows that too. The virtual device that was shown before (Wahoo Kickr 'somethin') does not appear anymore.

Edit: Sometime it appears as Power Source but not as Controllable.

use the mdns discovery app to reset this. it's a known issue on zwift

I'll try it before my next workout.

Today I drove "orginal". After 40 minutes the device switched off because of heat problems.... :-/

Somehow this is all frustrating. :-D So far it hasn't felt like I can get on my bike whenever I have a moment to get a great workout in. There's always something.

yeah that's why i'm releasing very few production version of qz: people want stability for their workout.

about your pair issue: just to be sure, do you see the tiles on qz?
