[BUG] Data not appearing on PC QZ App #2279

Describe the bug Using the PC QZ App - which previously worked. I am not able to get data onto the QZ Screen. I have verified the Bike is broadcasting the data using the QZ App on Android and can see the data.

I have a log which shows some data appears to be received for some time and then highlights a python error? debug-Sat_Apr_6_16_27_58_2024.log ADB is not enabled in this setup. I disabled it to see if it would improve. ADB was used to get Heartrate data previously.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start Cycle on iFIT (NordicTrack s22i)
  2. Start QZ App on PC
  3. Wait for screen to load

Expected behavior Cycle data (Speed/Cadence/Watts) should appear on the tiles - they do not show data.

Using Android Mobile app - data is visible after a short wait.

That's interesting: in the log I see some messages from the companion so the connection is working but it seems that the ifit app is not logging anymore. Did you install any ifit update? It could be the issue.

Do you have adb working on the bike? If so can you collect an adb logcat from your pc while you are doing a workout: I would like to see if we can get the metrics from it

ifit app version is 2.6.88.4692 Admin version 2.2.20.1602

I don't know if this has been updated since last use. It may well have, this seems to be the most recent version. The bike hasn't been used for a month or two so an update may have happened.

Perfect! Enable the adb remote setting under the ip setting in qz and restart it. It should fix the issue

No change when ADB is enabled in settings. I can see the device connected via adb, but no data on the tiles in QZ.

However, it still works via android app and can connect to zwift.

Ah! I didn't get that android is still working! That changes completely the scenario

So let's check the debug logs from both devices try to find the differences.

Maybe the windows firewall?

Sorry, no updates. I have been travelling recently. I have been using QZ on my phone recently to make this work.

I checked the firewall and opened this for QZ on the PC and no change. QZ on PC will not show data on the tiles or work with QZ.

QZ on phone with Zwift on PC is working fine.
