[SETTINGS] Broadcasting running speed to Garmin #2290

Hi, I can't find instruction to implement this scenario:

  1. Connect QZ to a treadmill via Bluetooth (success)
  2. Pair treadmill with Zwift (success)
  3. Broadcast speed from QZ to Garmin watch via ANT/Bluetooth as Speed sensor (this is a problem)

I sure that this functional was implemented already but I can't find correct settings...

* the beta of QZ from the play store

* your phone must have ANT+ or you have to attach a ANT+ dongle

* enable the ant cadence setting in qz

* be sure that ant+ is working on your phone trying any other ANT+ app on the play store

Thank you for reply. "Ant+ Cadence" in the section "Ant+ options (Only for some Androids)" is turned On. Using Garmin Ant+ dongle. Without success ((

Yes. I'm using it to connect cadence and hr sensors while cycling

No, QZ sensor doesn't appear on the Garmin device

also a bug report from android could be useful

can you try to disable the ant heart setting and restart qz? also which garmin device do you have? If it still doesn't work, create a bug report from android https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/bug-report Thanks

Disabled. Didn't help. Garmin Forerunner 255. Bug can create in the evening

sure, i just bought a forerunner 255 that it will arrive tomorrow so i can also see these kind of issues

Ok i have a good/bad news: i tried to pair my forerunner 255 with my stryd and I can see only as a power source. This make me thing that it's not an issue on QZ but it's on the Garmin side. I'm opening a ticket with them and I will let you know (just to be sure, I just double checked and QZ can send ANT+ to zwift, so QZ on its side it's doing everything correct)

Ok i have a good/bad news: i tried to pair my forerunner 255 with my stryd and I can see only as a power source. This make me thing that it's not an issue on QZ but it's on the Garmin side. I'm opening a ticket with them and I will let you know (just to be sure, I just double checked and QZ can send ANT+ to zwift, so QZ on its side it's doing everything correct)

garmin support as always useless. at the end i bought a garmin foot pod and they are sending the metrics like another ant profile.

i'm gonna to create also this one and i will update you

Ok good news! I make it works, and actually you have only to wait a minute in the search all sensor page. You have to have another sensor nearby so that garmin keeps looking

It's not a new version, as I said you have just to follow what I did in the video. It's a garmin bug that requires a sensor nearby other than the qz one
