[BUG] QZ says "connecting" but bluetooth connection works + no power source #2408

Closed Cycling000 closed 2 months ago

Cycling000 commented 3 months ago

Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is. Problem 1: The first day I used the QZ App, the app found my Tunturi Fitcycle 50i immediately and showed it's name in the app. Connection worked. Since then (couple days ago), the app keeps saying "connecting" but never shows the bike-name signalling an established connection. As a test, I opened IndieVelo and the connection smh still works (!) but the QZ still says "connecting". Second problem: IndieVelo doesn't find a power source (but it foes find heartrate and cadence) even though my bike shows my watts on its screen? I cannot adjust resistance on my bike before or while using QZ so it's always on resistance level 1. To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to '...' Problem 1: Open QZ after turning on exercise bike/ Problem 2: Connect Indivelo via QZ
  2. Click on '....' Nothing / Connect all sources(Power isn't found)
  3. Scroll down to '....' No/no
  4. See error Only shows "connecting" but the bike name never comes. The connection with indie velo still works. / I can access Indievelo and the avatar responds to my cadence but I cannot make the resistance harder on my bike (which works through its screen which isn't accessible while using QZ)

Expected behavior A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen. On problem 1: I expected the app to eventually show the bike's name instead of just "connecting" endlessly. As I found out it still works this isn't a huge problem I guess. On the second problem: I expected to be able to adjust the resistance of my exercise bike either before or during the use of QZ and not be forced to pedal with resistanc level 1. Screenshots If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem. / Desktop (please complete the following information):

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

Append a debug log Couldn't find the qz folder in my files app smh, followed your guide though Follow this guide https://github.com/cagnulein/qdomyos-zwift/wiki/How-do-i-get-the-debug-log-in-case-something-doesn't-work%3F

Additional context Add any other context about the problem here. I'm using only 1 device for QZ and IndieVelo (my phone)!

My bad man...I had enabled it but now it worked when I manually turned on location. Problem 1 solved, big thx!

On problem 2: I mistakenly said Indievelo received a heartrate source, it actually finds "smart trainer" i.e. my exercise bike and "cadence" in the sources menu. It also shows watts and rpm when I pedal as a test. But the resistance in my bike stays at level 1 and I cannot change it when using QZ/Indievelo.
