[BUG] - Delay in resistance changes and calibration issue on Tacx Neo 2 #2710

Describe the bug

  1. When I change virtual gears, it takes about two or three seconds until you feel a change in resistance when pedaling. This makes it hard for races. Also easing the gears takes too long.
  2. Gears seem to be inconsistent. I almost did a whole chase race with gear 6. (Avg 240 W) Changing cadence was enough. But later I also did my cool down in gear six and it was with much lower wattage. (100 W avg).
  3. I wish the gear changes were more “crisp” and that shifting to gear seven for example makes more sense. But at the moment the difference seems too much.

To Reproduce ?

Expected behavior I would expect to have clearer differences between the gears. Also, I would expect a certain gear to be of the same resistance in a race or in a cool down ride.

it says my debug log is too big (122 mb), what can I do?

Additional context I have only started using QZ - I am really happy that it is already working. I hope it is possible to calibrate the gears in a way that it mimics physical shifting. I would be very happy. Thanks for all your work.

Hi, I need a debug log to understand your issues

For the 6 gear example : qz is adding an offset to the inclination sent from the 3rd app so it's normal that on flat the 6th gear is giving you less wattage that on a hill. It's like in the real world :)

Added a new short log file:

  1. Gears were “off” when shifting. Didn’t feel right. Very slow changes in resistance.

  2. Fly wheel kept spinning after sign off.

hi @MarkusZwift unfortunately in this log there isn't any connection to your trainer. Maybe you uploaded the wrong one? do you have others there? Let me know!
