The Modern Data Stack Accelerator (MDSA) service is the first of its kind for ODI and CalData. While MDSA is modeled a little bit on the Data Science Accelerator developed in San Francisco (more on that later), it is a new offering developed by CalData. In brief MDSA is a service that helps departments adopt modern data tooling and best practices for analytics engineering. Departments bring a real data problem and we help them develop data models and infrastructure based on our reference architecture. Ultimately the work is handed back to departments to implement on their infrastructure.
You can meet with Josh for a brief orientation to MDSA project collateral, including charters, training materials, and handoff materials. After you’ve had a chance to digest, we can also meet to walk through your questions. This will be useful input to any improvements.
Goals
[x] Strengthen your understanding of MDSA
[x] Formulate your own elevator pitch for what the MDSA is
[x] Document questions and thoughts you have about MDSA
[x] Document questions and thoughts you have about the 4 MDSA projects (commenting directly in the document you are reading and tagging relevant people is a good practice)

The two main places to find information on MDSA projects are Coda: MDSA Projects (start with the four project pages filed under MDSA Projects Overview) and Program - Modern Data Stack Accelerator in Google Drive. A description of the MDSA service including recorded presentations is available online.
