this resource may be helpful
An update on the dates I chose based on the rate of tweet number increase: I made a quick research and why a peak happened in the number of tweets and found the following information:
July 13th, 2020 (3.6M tweets) President Donald Trump makes his first public appearance wearing a face-mask. WHO reports that the United States and Brazil made up half of the daily increase in coronavirus cases globally.
Sept 9th, 2020 (3.1M tweets) More than 500,000 U.S. children have been diagnosed with COVID-19. The United States announces it will stop screening international arrivals for COVID-19
Oct 2-3rd, 2020 (3.8M tweets) President Trump announced that he tested positive for Covid-19.
Dec 21st, 2020 (2.4M tweets). The European Union approves the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. U.S. President-elect Joseph R. Biden receives the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine on live television.
I believe Oct 2-3rd and Dec 21st are the dates we can be interested in more but I will leave it up to the whole team to decide which dates are worth considering in our research.
