upon further testing using ZeroGS it can get past the loading screen so it is
most-likely something with gsdx, I tried software, dx9,10 and all still get the
freezeup.
I'll look at some of the older gsdx revisions to see if its something recent
that broke it-

Tried various gsdx revisions (lowest i went was r2660 but no luck) then tried
the forum ones went all the way back to GSdx10 v1.4 and that version
successfully worked :p ...
I guess the main focus can be on the sound issue now, since even though it
locks on on the loading screen you can just use another plugin to temporary
bypass it.

Just popped the bouncer in for the first time on pcsx2. (Recently got it back
off a friend). Found the sounds pretty funny at first because it seemed like it
was added in on purpose XD

5350 is old. Can you try a newer svn build please.

Nice coincidence I started playing the game an hour and just got past the
cutscene you probably already figured it out but you need to increase the
output buffers latency and the weird sounds go away thanks for the tip on
changing the gsdx plugin
