Simple solution: Don't use the completely unsupported new versions until the
dev team
has said it's stable enough for use.
The new GUI has broken almost every aspect of the emulator, they aren't
accepting any
bug reports or anything else until they've made it usable in their eyes. Go
back to
using official beta 1736 if you plan on playing games.

Leaving this open, as no one of us has ran into this bug yet.

Kojiknight is right however, we're telling people not to use the wx stuff yet
everywhere. It doesn't seem to work :p

I've been getting this issue as well. Is there any info I can try to capture
for you
to help track down the issue?

Use the legacy behavior that saves files in the program directory, and disable
vista
/ win7 user account crappification.
Should work then.
And no, we don't need any info right now. We need time :p

If PCSX2 was configured to use plugins it didn't like, and you went to the
plugin
selection screen and selected plugins, and clicked ok, it would try and reload
the
old, bad plugin list rather than the new set you configured. That would fail,
would
throw an exception, and would restore the bad plugin list.

Ah yeah, sounds related to the bug that would make a plugin change only
register when
restarting pcsx2.

This was probably an invalid issue but even if it was valid, it has been fixed
by now.
