Bleach Blade Battlers 2 #61

now the game starts well, but here is the problems that happens in all
pcsx2 versions including latest rc:

1. sometimes the fps drops sharply while doing some move ( when Rukia roll
on the floor and when some characters use teleport ), which is annoying.

2. The game will completely hang with black screen when doing most
character's bankai (his superpower) while playing the bankai's video
(characters like ichigo and others)

*note that video bankais of some characters work well, some hang after
moments of the video start, and others completely hang even before the
video starts...........this problem is confirmed too in the forums

Sounds like FMV/IPU problems. We'll target them eventually.

Perhaps it will be helpful to you to say that the same problem occurs on PS3,
60 GB
model with emulated PS2. Both PCSX2 and PS3's PS2 emulation have same flaw?
Go for it, guys!

Just to add, It's not a FVM video. it's as cut scene but made in real 3d. Its
not
cinematic.

I've got something on the slowing issue!
If you Keep on Playing With the Slow speed,
eventually the game starts to run with
full speed. But a crash occurs afterwards.

Just want to correct something I said a while back... Im not 100% sure if the
Bankai
animation are fmv or not. Just to not tell lies :)

There is a simple way to find out if it's an FMV or not: Increase/decrease the
internal resolution and see if it has any effect on the graphics of the scene.
If it
does, it's not a video.

Just some info to tell that the recent IPU fix for God of war (R2615) did not
fix this
problem probably because the "bankai" scene is not a fmv.

This game still does not work after a year. I've been testing this recently, it
seems
that the speed of the game has massively increased, but the video launch on the
Bankai movies still do not work. The problem has to be somewhere where the
emulator
has to read the code of the Bankai animation, because some of them DO work...up
till
a point. Most of them crash near the beginning or in the middle of the video.
Here are a few things that have been deduced by other coders :

- It is not an IPU/FMV problem.
- Increasing or Decreasing the internal resolution does have an effect on the

graphics of the scene.
- Tinkering with speed hacks or any type of graphic/sound plugin has no effect
whatsoever.
- Switching the graphic plugin from GsDx to ZeroGS has no effect as well - this
most
likely means it is a problem with how the emulator reads the data of the game
when
the Bankai video starts.

I have a few of my own questions :
- Could the fact that the game is NTSCJ have any effect?
- Is it possible to create some sort of patch to skip the videos altogether?

Also, most of the people deal with this problem at the moment by just rapidly
pressing the start button in hopes that the video gets skipped before that it
starts.
This works 80% of the time and it is really annoying.

Help on this would be much appreciated, thanks.

Just to add to my previous post, the last 4 lines on the console read :
DvdRead: Reading Sector 135998(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
DvdRead: Reading Sector 136014(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
DvdRead: Reading Sector 136030(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
microVU1: Cached MicroPrograms = [072] [PC=0182] [List=01] (Cache = 0.867255%)

After that, the game gives a white screen and the FPS Skyrockets.
