Twinkle Star Sprites: La Petite Princesse - FMVs hang the game #656

[The following is a template to help you fill out a more informative
report]

Note:
Many games do not run yet, or have known problems. Please do not report
those games without giving any more information. That means reports like
"Game XYZ crashes" are not helpful. Instead try to include as much debug
information as possible. The last 5 console messages for example, or if the
crashes can be circumvented / fixed by another configuration would help
much more.

--------------------------------------

1) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on the
Official PCSX2 build or an earlier version of PCSX2 playground?
(If so, please specify the latest pcsx2-playground or Official revision
that last worked.)

The game works fully correctly and is 100% playable if the opening FMV is
skipped by pressing start repeatedly after the SNK Playmore logo. However,
attempting to allow the FMV to run gives a brief moment of audio, no
picture, and then the audio cuts and the game simply hangs. It has hung
since at least r2650. A test of r1888/0.9.6 also reveals that the FMV hangs
that version of PCSX2. The bonus FMV included with the game also hangs the
game. PCSX2 is still responsive and resetting the game will work, so the
emulator itself is not hanging, but the game is.

Playing with the clamping and rounding seems to do nothing. Speedhacks are,
of course, disabled. ZeroGS produces the exact same symptoms; ZZOGL
outright bombs the emulator.

2) What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load up the game.
2. Wait through the dearth of developer logos.
3. Enjoy your half-second of audio and hung game.

3) What exactly happens when you experience this issue (listing any console
errors or screen output you receive)?
Pretty obvious from what I stated above. Debug Console reports nothing out
of the ordinary - it just simply stops dead. Here's the last five lines for
the heck of it though:

DvdRead: Reading Sector 1697339(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
DvdRead: Reading Sector 1697355(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
DvdRead: Reading Sector 1697371(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
DvdRead: Reading Sector 1697387(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x
DvdRead: Reading Sector 1697403(16 Blocks of Size 2064) at Speed=4x

4) What version of PCSX2 are you using? On what operating system? Plugins?
Was tested with r1888, r2650, and the latest, r2850. Video was GSDX SSE4
r2849, but I tested the others as noted above. All three had the plugins
that were current at the time of their releases. OS is Vista 64.

5) Please provide any additional information below.

None really to provide. Hashes of the ISO are as follows:

CRC32: 19ded5b8
SHA1: cc888fa4f70e5ddd3125443cd703759a48e460ea
MD5: ae9ec06c51bc7e423ff5d3ebbbff45bd

For the record, it's the NTSC-J version, which I think is the only region
it ever came out in. It was considered for US release, but the CEO of the
USA branch of SNK NeoGeo shut it down, for which he has my enmity. But I
digress...

6) Attachments. *IMPORTANT!* We have a limited storage quota on
GoogleCode, so please keep attachments to UNDER 200k! Do not upload
blockdumps! Do not upload MP3 dumps. Use 3rd party image hosts for
screenshots when possible.

Unnecessary. Unless you want a black screen or something, but that'd be
pretty damn silly, wouldn't it?

Solid bug report. Sounds like the usual, known IPU issues we are plagued with.
