Cannot boot compressed ISO under Linux #932

I cannot boot a compressed ISO under Linux. Attempting to boot either the BZ2
and Z compressed files reports, "File not found. Path: IsoFileSystem".

I ripped this ISO myself from my FFX disc and verified that it will boot
correctly uncompressed. I then compressed the ISO with zlib using r4178 under
Linux, and with bzip2 using the current Windows beta version (due to bug 931).
I'm attempting to play it with the same version on Linux, using the "Linuz Iso
CDVD 0.9.0 [libCDVDiso]" plugin. I have not, and cannot, attempt to load it
on Windows because I only have Windows in a virtual machine.

It is possible that I'm trying to load it in an incorrect manner, but I've read
all the forum posts and guides I could find on the subject, and tried every
combination of plugin and CDVD source I could think of, and get the same result
almost every time. The one exception, using what I believe to be the incorrect
"EFP polling CDVD Driver 0.4.0 [libCDVDlinuz]" plugin, results in pcsx2 booting
to the bios as it doesn't appear to recognize the ISO as a valid CD.

2) What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select the "Linuz Iso CDVD 0.9.0 [libCDVDiso]" plugin
2. Select either a BZ or Z compressed ISO using the Iso Selector
3. Select either Iso or Plugin as the CDVD source
4. Select either Boot CDVD (fast) or Boot CDVD (full) and note the error message

3) What exactly happens when you experience this issue (listing any console
errors or screen output you receive)?
Game does not run.

4) What version of PCSX2 are you using? On what operating system? Plugins?
r4178, Gentoo Linux x86
zlib 1.2.3
bzip2 1.0.6
Linuz Iso CDVD 0.9.0 [libCDVDiso]
