have you seen the videos in the PS2?
that last screen is exactly the same picture you get in PS2 or you'd call it
"full video", only problem is that you get an extra black bar and the original
video probably has it too and is just positioned so it's hidden in the PS2,
probably for widescreen or progressive scan support.

No, the problem still persists in all of the God of War PAL FMVs in the latest
revision.
Here's some screenshots from the trailer.

Looks like a GSdx hardware problem. Have you tried switching to software when a
video runs? (F9 ingame)

It took me like forever to check back here (i had a busy last month), so the
answer is coming a little late.
The first of the screenshots i posted is hardware mode, the second one is
software mode.
So, probably not a hardware problem.

I can't say i've seen this issue with GoW videos.

Well, keep in mind that it only happens in the PAL version of God of War
(SCES-53133).
I just tested it again with the most recent version (r5620) and the problem is
still there.

I think this is a problem with a CRC hack. The hack is needed to fix green
overlays in the game but it also causes this problem.

I just added "CrcHacksExclusions=all" to my GSDx .ini and started a video in
God of War.
The bug is still there. A corner of the videos is cut off. So unless the
exclusions don't deactivate every hardcoded hack, it's not the fault of a CRC
hack.
