Django 1.9 Updates #231

Need to make updates for Django 1.9 https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.9/releases/1.9/

Just so we don't break compatibility with 1.8, of course. We can keep some projects on 1.8 until the next LTS release or until they need some new post-1.8 feature.
