Research Request - Annual NTD by RTPA report

Complete the below when receiving a research request, and continue to add to this issue as you receive additional details and produce deliverables. Be sure to also add the appropriate project-level label to this issue (eg gtfs-rt, DLA).

Research Question

Single sentence description: This is the companion report to the monthly NTD by RTPA report and shows annual NTD stats for agencies grouped by RTPAs.

Detailed description: One of the most common feedback we hear is that non-reporters, usually smaller operators, are missing from the monthly report. For these smaller operators, we only have annual data available. Create this companion report so that users that are interested in an RTPA grouping of NTD data can find both!

How will this research be used?

Stakeholders need a way to reference the data for smaller operators, even if that data is available annually and not monthly

Data sources

Cal-ITP data sources:
warehouse table dim_annual_ntd_agency_information
Start with 2021 NTD annual data and swap out for 2022 data when it's available in the warehouse

Deliverables

[ ] Exploratory notebook of data cleaning and report visuals
[ ] Offload data processing into scripts
[ ] Exports saved to public GCS (similar to monthly outputs)
[ ] Notebook that can be parameterized for portfolio
