Purchase a new NAS #36

I think the best choice is DS3617xsII: https://www.synology.com/zh-tw/products/DS3617xsII#specs But which cost 138888 NTD. The reason I choose this product:

  1. The product support the extension DX1215
  2. The IO speed shown in data sheet is 2359MB/s for read and 2178 MB/s for write.
  3. It is the only one product I can find in the official website in the DX1215 competitive list.
  4. Support 2 extensions.
  5. Support 10 and 25 Gbps net work.

The disk with most CP ratio is from TOSHIBA N300. Then Seagate then WD. So I prefer TOSHIBA N300 12T or 14T version.

So the total cost we estimate is:

  1. DS3617xsII + 14T TOSHIBA N300 x 24 = 138888 + 12490 x 24 = 438648
  2. DS3017xsII + 12T TOSHIBA N300 x 24 = 138888 + 8488 x 24 = 342600
