Feature - auto-dial?

Stephen Wingfield (bicomsystems) directed me to post this forum.  

From Outlook I would like to auto-dial an Aastra 57i station.  Currently
when dialing from Outlook, via dialog box, the 57i rings and I pick-up the
handset th 57i dials the expected number.

Rather, I would like the phone to auto-dial the number (e.g., on speaker
phone) immediately following the mouse-click from the outlook dialog box,
not requiring me to push the speaker-phone button or dial pick-up the handset. 

Using OutCall 1.55 with Outlook 2003 (Vista), on Asterisk with Aastra 57i
station.

Can this be done?  Do configurations exist for this?

add *80 to the number to dial and make sure you have the intercom function set 
up
through freepbx (assuming you're using that as your server
