Dual concepts as separate networks #8

How do we deal with cases where we have "river" and "river/stream" as separate concepts and therefore get separated networks? @AnnikaTjuka proposed to add another column to the table containing the broader concept to transparently connect them.

LinguList commented 1 year ago

Where are these cases, in which concept list, which lines?

AnnikaTjuka commented 1 year ago

I just checked and they occur in the Winter-2022-102 list. One case is river/stream~flood and river~Milky Way. The other is cloud~fog/mist and dew~fog. They say that "Translation equivalents for a particular concept are separated by a “/” (e.g., “fog/mist’)." so they seem to be equivalent. Would it be possible to merge these?

LinguList commented 1 year ago

Good catch. This means I must merge them. I spotted two more errors, but these are another level. So I close, once I have addressed this problem, and it'll lead to a reduction by two more concepts. So we have 100 not 102.

Found more errors in the data. But these are hopefully fixed now.
