I have this same problem. I would like to know if it can be fixed. Thanks!

The odd thing about this error is that, if I go in and make a simple change
(say,
deselecting and reselecting the ALT key or whatever key used for a key command)
and
then save it, that key command works fine (until, of course, I turn off the
computer
or restart autokey).

Please let me know if this is still happening in the latest version (0.61.5)
otherwise I'll close.

i'm using version 0.71.2 (gtk version) and the word "resumé" (in my phrases)
comes out as "resum". i had some spanish-language autokey phrases as well, but
don't often use them due to the fact that accented and special characters
(áéíóúü¿¡ñ) are simply omitted. i'm running ubuntu 10.04 with a
2.6.32 kernel. otherwise i love autokey 8)

See on the Wiki: http://code.google.com/p/autokey/wiki/Troubleshooting
There is a section on special characters (e.g. accented). See if this resolves
your problem.
