pdf binder v1.2 doesn't install #13

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start installation of the msi
2. Follow all steps to install
3. At end of installation, error 1001 pops up, install rolls back

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Succesful installation.

From the event log: The following information is part of the event: Product: 
PDFBinder -- Error 1001. Error 1001. Exception occurred while initializing the 
installation:
System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Configuration system failed 
to initialize., (NULL), (NULL), (NULL).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PDFBinder-v1.2.msi, XP SP3, .Net3.5 SP1, 2005/2008 redist

Please provide any additional information below.
Is it allowed to install on XP SP3? What is the required .net version? Wat is 
the required VS runtime redist (if applicable)

I just tried the installer on a XP SP3 + .NET 3.5 SP1 box and had no problems. 
I suspect, that the issue is related to the installer attempting to register a 
Windows shell extension, where your registry is configured differently than 
mine.

1. Which PDF reader(s) do you have installed on your machine?

2. Do you know your way around regedit? If so, it might be helpful if you could
    a) open the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/.pdf,
    b) make note of its (Default) value - let's call it 'xyz',
    c) export the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/xyz subtree, and
    d) attach the exported .reg file here.

the Default for the .pdf is: AcroExch.Document
