• 5 positions have to be any name, but on the RSO forms they have to show president (internal) Special interest Meeting space (doesn’t doubt where we get space) Might not get spac at desired time Might not big enough Or might change space every week If unlv is closed/holiday (finding space outside of unlv) Reserving space is free; extras (e.g., stage) costs, technology lockbox Big events (catering) might be 200 dollars Restrictions on food/drink Scheduling meetings off campus: Might not be concerned about off-campus meetings as an RSO (send questions to Kevin) Marnie Dowe (rso coordinator) Becomes an issue if you violate university policies (moreso with sororities) What recourse do we have to enforce unlv student code of conduct (can get enforcement from student union; if off campus, more difficult) Can allow or disallow membership based on board-decided criteria

Funding Need to write proposal about why we need funding Difficult as a new rso to know how CSUN works to write an effective proposal Create structured or centralized place for funds: get Tax ID and bank account through US Bank, designated members oversee this CSUN wants to see how you can be self-sustaining Members, and cost per person for whatever the request is Structure, culture (promote), hold members accountable (disciplinary standards), member resinstatement Consideration: 503 non-profit status Outside funding, need the bank account Logistics, paperwork, and time Communication – can get a unlv e-mail account, gmail, Square (for charging members), newsletters (once per month) Facilitators Website?, game of the month Membership: tiered membership (may not work)
