Hopefully resolves #70. It does for me on the test files at least.

Very minor edits:

Adds matplotlib to the dependencies
Rplaces deprectated np.float with float

Hmmm.. I should have checked the open PRs. It seems #86 also covers the float issue! I'll leave you to decide whether you want np.float64 or float
