Whine on 30 band EQ 0.90.3 #257

I use a 30 band calf plugin in a rack for my main daily audio. I've recently updated calf plugins from 0.90.1 to 0.90.3 on debian buster, using kxstudio repository builds for both old and newer plugin, and since the update after a while and while playing sound or right after sound has stopped playing, a high pitched whine (I'd say 16 or 17k maybe, I could try to figure it out if it's important) appears in the audio.

I need to close the rack or remove and re-add the plugin to make the problem go away.

Sadly I've not found a way to reproduce with any certainty. I've tried hosting the plugin (with the same settings) both in Carla (kxstudio) and jalv (console or gtk). The same thing happens, only it seems to happen faster with Carla and takes longer on jalv but it happens nonetheless.

This didn't occur in 0.90.1. In case it matters I'm using linked mode on the eq (L -> L+R) and Butterworth filter type. There's no other plugins on my chain (on Carla, and single jalv instance with calf eq) right now.

I just did a test. When the whine is occurring I can make it go away by doing either of these things:

1) Changing from linked mode (L -> L/R) to individual stereo. Or

2) Changing from Butterworth filters to any other type of filter.

If I do any of those, whine goes away. If I return to the original setup, whine returns (as long as I don't restart the host and plugin, then it'll go away)
