That' s exactly what I wanted to ask: I have a mechanical keyboard and I configured it with us-intl to input accents. now I would like to use it in androiid.
Here is a related project: https://github.com/dashea/us-intl-android
If the same dead key is supposed to add different accents depending on the key that follows, then no, this is not yet possible.
us-intl--android has an open issue where people complain of not being able to produce c with sedilla
by using the same dead key that produces vowels with accute accents.
The only solution currently would be a workaround, a non-standard variation on the US-international layout.
And I am planning to add only documented keyboard layouts, that people already use on other OSs. Android physical keybaord typists are rare enough that adding a new layout here won't get many people to use it.
Not supported in KLC. Please re-open if ever supported.
Hi Is it possible to add the "US International Keyboard" layout with dead keys? The standard Android English International layout requires AltGr to type the accent. In macOS or windows, you type ' and then the vowel, n, N, ^ to get the corresponding combined character.
Also, when combining keys, is it possible in Android to get both ˆ and ^ characters? The second one is usually used to express exponentiation.
Many thanks for considering my request.
