We don't know how much electricity is generated in each hydroelectricity station in Europe.

The current workaround uses national data from IRENA and assumes a fixed capacity / annual generation ratio for run of river and hydro reservoirs.

Measured data per station would be better, but is currently not available.

Once again, Switzerland offers data with which to validate this. This is how it looks for run-of-river and dammed hydro in 2018:

I can't say anything about how that fits with the hourly inflow data though...
