The information displayed on the user's profile page is basically if you have one or more logged in sessions active. Usually you probably should not have more than one, but maybe you are just using two computer or two browsers on the same computer in the same time and everything is cool. The session information as displayed now do not give the user enough data to take an informed action.
It does not help that the information is displayed in the user profile page, a page in which users rarely have any reason to visit.
Options:
Just remove the UI, leavel the infrastructure in place for plugins that want to count how many sessions are being used as a way to limit access to content.
Show a notice when there is more then one session for the user. Maybe should be configurable based on role. Maybe content edit lock notices should also include such information.
