Dear Calquezar,

I have been trying to replicate the results you got using the example files you provided for the viability test. Just at beginning my OpenCASA viability module does not seem to detect any cell, only if I go the extremes of the red or green spectrums, where starts detecting but at very unrelastic numbers with a blurry image. Do you know what may be happening? I tried several pictures from your example files but in all of them I could not detect any cell (either viable or non-viable).

Many thanks

Dear waldirmbf, thank you for using the software. Which OS are you using? A fuew users have found troubles with some installations of Windows 10, or conflicts with a previous java installation. In that cases, creating a new Windows user and making a new installation of ImageJ solved the problems.

I would recommend you to take a look and post in the OpenCASA forum: https://groups.google.com/g/opencasa_mailinglist.

Let me know about your OS and I will try to help you.

Best regards, Carlos

Dear Carlos,

Thanks for your reply and for providing the OpenCASA google groups link. Yes, I am using a Windows 10 Home Single Language OS build 18363.1016, x64.

Is there anything else you need to know from me? I can also try in a another pc with a different Windows 10 version.

Many thanks,

Waldir

Dear Waldir, as I mentioned, some users have had problems with Windows 10. We have not detected yet the specific problem with Windows 10, so I would recommend you to try these options:

If you try these options, let me know about the results. Best regards, Carlos

Hi Carlos,

I have tried with two other Linux computers with no luck. I cannot detect any cells in the viabillity using the example files, either in the v1.0 or 2.0. Is there a specific version of ImageJ or Java I should be using?

Many thanks, Waldir

Hi Waldir, try with ImageJ version 1.49 with java jre 8. For windows, you can download it here:

https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/download/win32/ij149-jre8-64.zip

In linux it only works OpenCASA v2.0.

Try and let me know. Best regards, Carlos
