Hi. I just discovered this little project and seems very useful. Unfortunately seems that the latest build is from some years ago and it is not working with the latest versions of MacOS. Any chance to see an update for this? Thank you.

Hi - I just tested the existing build on 10.14.2 Mojave - and it seems to be working fine. What exactly isn't working?

Please can you explain a little bit how you are creating a new file as I can't find any entry to create a NEW FILE, nor in the right click menu, not in the finders top menu. Using 10.14.6 here.

Ok, I fond how to install. The fix is to change this phrase (10.9 Mavericks requires ⌘ + ⌥) to (10.9 Mavericks and UP requires ⌘ + ⌥) into documentation:

To install "NewFile-OSX.app" copy it to your Applications folder, and then from the applications folder drag it into the Finder toolbar (10.9 Mavericks and UP requires ⌘ + ⌥)

As a side-note, maybe the icon can be made a little bit smaller to match the overall aspect of the Maverick's toolbar?

Both Possible - It is worth noting that I believe that really - a much better alternative would be to use something like xtra-finder : https://www.trankynam.com/xtrafinder/ Which is what i now use personally - and has a built in "right click > new file" option. However i think you are right about keeping this maintained - it is possibly a more compact solution that doesn't require system modification or tweaking.

Ill make an update
