Logging in with chat-only #302

If you login while in chat-only it doesn't let you chat. i.e the chatbox is still grayed out.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'trim' of undefined util.js:1043 comes up in the console.

Let this serve as proof that people can remind me a thousand times that a certain minor bug exists, and I will forget a thousand times until someone opens a ticket.
