11 years ago Thanks Jakob, was this from the terminal in sourcetree? If so I have had the same problem and haven't yet figured out the permanent solution. I just deleted manually like you did. I found the same, that the problem only occurred if the file already exists.
I think it worked fine for me in the normal 'Git Bash' outside of Sourcetree. I will do some more testing on this, it definitely will need to be fixed before Dora is released as v1.0
Got a permission error. After running Dora, the gitignore file was mark readonly and changes wasn't saved. Removed the flag manually and tried the installation again - but same result (marked readonly and no changes)
Same problem with the .gitattributes file. If the file exits, then a readonly flag is set and changes are not saved. Can't remove the flag (Dora setup will just add the flag again).
Workaround: Delete the files before running Dore
