• GSMA does not appear to support Royalty-Free working groups, which exposes open-source contributors to potential licensing fees based on patents related to GSMA standardized APIs. Is there a way to eliminate this exposure? • Will the Alliance collect dues from its members?

Anuket co-operates GSMA in a way that Anuket defines its specifications in a fully open source way under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license and GSMA publishes the result as a PRD via its OITF WG. I think the same model should be followed here also. Even if there is a membership fee to the alliance, in case of an open source approach the usage and contributions to the project must be free.
