To include also the alignment on ASYNC endpoint mechanism, as open discussion in commonalities.

suggestion: support time window in the past as well, so the API can deliver historical data as well. This opens additional use cases.

done: issue #51 . However, it looks like I cannot assign labels to the issues (permissions?). Please do this from your side.
