Add information about `pip`

For now I've removed instructions about pip (see this commit), to keep things simple.

However, it could be useful to add this information back and cover:

• General pip commands
• Include pip in a conda YAML
• Install packages from github using pip

But this should possibly be a new section of materials, as the conda section is already quite long.
