Made names clearer (fixes #19) #90

I've changed "fx" to "effect", "synth" to "change sound", and "amp" to "volume".

I don't know how the front end works, so please do check that I haven't broken anything.

Please merge #91 (better-step-sizes into clearer-names) before doing this merge (clearer-names into master).
