@snlongmore noted a few issues with the png plot in #131

This fixes those.

Question for all: would it be best to make all of the marker in the legend the same size?

I like the different sized markers; it helps illustrate the range and identify why/where we can('t) see the points

This is ready to be merged then. If anyone has an issue with the different sizes, comment and we can address it in a future PR.
