Making in camera LUT for arri mini #9

Hi Ben

I can't work out how to make a lut that actually works in camera for Arri Mini. Are you supposed to export a .cube file or .aml file or .lut? What .cube file should I use as thats all I can see that can be exported for what might work with arri? I just used the sony cube export but the camera isn't seeing it.

Hi Adrian, Alexa Mini's require their look files to be in the formal '.aml'. Use the ArriColorTool (available from the Arri website) to create the aml file from a 3D LUT. Then using a usb stick, and with the aml file in the folder path ARRI > A-MINI > LOOKFILES, load the look file into the mini. I hope that helps
